Norah

Kelly and I saw the Norah Jones concert last night at the Ford Center. The girl can sing I tell you, and her band, The Handsome Band, can play. Norah did a great job moving the show along with conversation between songs and seems to be comfortable in her own skin on stage. I must say I enjoyed the opener Amos Lee as well. He got the crowd warmed up and at the end of his set had us all laughing with his song "Caramelize Me", a sexy tune in the styles of Marvin Gaye and Weird Al. If you have a chance to see Norah and The Handsome Band in concert, take it. You'll have a relaxing night taking in the sweet mellow sounds, but be on your feet square-dancing by the end of the encore. One quick sidenote before I end this post...does anybody know why Norah's backup singer, Daru Oda, has only one eyebrow? I noticed it last night and could only conclude it must have happened by some freak accident...maybe even a cruel prank by Norah as revenge for stealing her boyfriend or eating the last of the Fruitloops on the tour bus. Turns out that it's like that in every picture I can find of the band past and present, and even on Norah's music videos. I find it odd, but maybe somebody that reads this knows more about current fashsion trends or freak eyebrow attacking bacteria. Please help me solve this mystery.
