Job Simulation
This week I applied for a job as a bank teller, and I encountered something huge. As a part of the hiring process I was required to take a test. To be more specific I took part in the Teller Vision Simulation, "...a PC-delivered simulation that realistically depicts a typical day in the life of a teller." The test is given to applicants to test their capabilities, but also allows them to "test-drive the teller job and experience what it's like to interact with customers and perform banking transactions." I think this is a great idea...why haven't I simulated jobs before? Forget video games. I want Job Simulations instead. Not only would it be fun to play janitor or accountant for a couple of hours every day, but you'd also gain valuable job experience. I wonder if you could keep track of how many hours you had on the simulation and include that on your resume.

hmm...interesting thought. i think all places should have you simulate the job before they hire you...that way they wouldn't waist time training people who would end up deciding they don't like the job after all. they should have classes like that at the uniersity called what job suites you. each class period you could simulate a different job...you would get to try out tons of different things without having to go through the getting hired and resigning process! maybe that would help the trillions of people in out generation who are clueless to what they want to do...
